How to sort out 150 pictures from just a few hours of Dutch Design Week 2012 in Eindhoven? It's almost impossible to show them all, so I made a selection of what we saw yesterday. The Dutch Design Academy was our first stop, but seeing the long cue we decided to go straight to Piet Hein Eek with one of the 35 Mini's that brings you from one part of town to the other.
Our visit to this former Philips factory where now Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek has created his own world took way longer then we expected. I loved the atmosphere and the fact that due all the glass and the amazing steel framed windows, you could look straight into the workplace.
Next to the work of Piet Hein Eek, several studio tenants showcase their work and numerous presentations by young designers, all of whom have worked or interned with PHE at some point can be found in the building. More of Piet Hein Eek and the progrogram during DDW on the website. Have a look here for part two unplugged pictures from Dutch Design week : Dutch Design week 2012 - unplugged part two

tout est superbe : le lieu industriel et l'ambiance qui s'en dégage. Parfait pour du design au quotidien. Merci pour ces pics. Nathalie
Can't wait to check out Piet Hein Eek's world next week during Hello Etsy. Your photos make me even more curious!
Don't forget this area this week!
